our approach

Navigating the Path to Mental Wellness

Our approach combines evidence-based therapies all framed by a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective that focuses on your growth and the goals you hope to accomplish.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps individuals identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors to improve emotional well-being.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

ACT emphasizes psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than avoiding or fighting them. ACT's focus is to help people live meaningful lives aligned with their values.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

DBT teaches skills to manage intense emotions, reduce conflict and self-destructive behaviors, and improve relationships. It combines mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to promote acceptance and change.

Solution-Focused Therapy

SFT is a short-term, goal-oriented approach that focuses on strengths and finding practical steps toward positive change. It helps individuals build solutions based in what is already working.

LCSW #93160

I am a board-certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping young people know their worth and increase their confidence. I have a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and am licensed to practice therapy in California.

My therapy approach is client-centered and strengths-based. I have always been passionate about working with teens and helping them discover their identities as they prepare for the world of adulthood. I enjoy working with many challenges teens face, but I particularly enjoy working with challenges in partner relationships, communication issues, boundary-setting needs, trauma, those in the LGTBQIA+ community, and life transitions.

I like to refer to myself as quirky - someone who can laugh at themselves and someone who loves puns and dad jokes. If I can help teens develop coping, self-soothing, and communication skills that I hadn't quite honed when I was young, they will feel more prepared for their next phase of life. Doing therapy with me is like chatting with a cool aunt: I'll hold space for you to process, vent, celebrate wins, and reflect, but I'll also give you “real talk” and challenge you to step outside your comfort zone.

When I'm not at work, I hang out with my husband and dog, play volleyball with my rec league, watch the 49ers and Sharks, dress up for a Renaissance Faire, catch a Broadway show, watch SVU or Netflix dating shows, listen to all types of music (mostly emo or Broadway), and find fun local places to eat. If I sound like I may be a good fit for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

I am a board-certified, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with teenagers and young adults. I have a Master’s in Counseling from Palo Alto University and am licensed to practice therapy in California.

I love helping teens and young adults through issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief/loss, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm issues. I also enjoy having parents participate in services through check-ins. This partnership can facilitate progress toward my client's goals. While I lean towards evidence-based therapy and am scientifically minded, I keep my communication style with clients informal and use humor when appropriate.

I believe the client is the expert on their own experiences and that how we think about things can affect feelings and behaviors. Through therapy, I aim to help my clients increase awareness of their thoughts and feelings and find new ways to solve problems. I enjoy learning about my clients' hobbies, interests, and strengths. Getting to know a person as a whole, not just their problems, is essential. This is a critical component in therapy, especially for teens.

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, young daughter, and pets. I love taking long family walks, playing video games with friends, and watching horror movies. If I sound like an excellent fit for your teen or young person, please get in touch!

LMFT #119129 (she/her)

I am a therapist because I believe in this work. I have confidence in the “wounded healer” concept, and I live by the idea that it is my familiarity and understanding of my own pain that has given me the power to help others heal. For me, joy is found in moving my body (hiking, biking, walking, yoga), being in nature, nurturing my relationships with my family, deep belly laughs with friends, and adventuring to new places.

I practice from a client centered and strength-based approach. You are the expert in your life, and I am here to help guide you in your healing journey. As we uncover your truth, I hope you feel more confident in living the life you genuinely want. Along with strength-based care and a client centered approach, I also frequently utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, relational therapy, and mindfulness with clients. I enjoy working with a diverse caseload; I work with adults, teens, families, parents, and couples and especially enjoy working with mother/daughter relationships.

I frequently encourage my clients to seek out what brings them joy in their lives and to above all else treat themselves with as much kindness as possible.

LMFT #119476

I am a board-certified, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with teenagers and young adults. I have a Master’s in Counseling from Santa Clara University and am licensed to practice therapy in California.

My work as a therapist has always centered around children, teens, and their families. I tailor my approach to each client’s needs and offer the support needed to navigate relationships, identity, and the stressors that accompany work and school. When working with a client, I find it crucial to understand the contexts and systems in their environment to address wellness needs. As such, I am comfortable working with clients not only on an individual level but also with their families, partners, and schools.

In my work, I prioritize a genuine relationship with clients, blending authenticity with warmth and humor, and I use evidence-based practices to promote growth and healing. My clinical practice is informed by Relational Developmental Systems Theory and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, ensuring grounding in their background and development while building skills to move forward. When working with couples, I use the Gottman Method and Emotion Focused Therapy to encourage connection and help resolve conflict. With families, I draw on Structural Family Therapy and Attachment-Based Family Therapy, to help identify detrimental patterns and provide a path towards repair. My bicultural background as a Muslim-American woman also means that I understand the importance of cultural sensitivity in therapy, and the ways that differing cultural backgrounds can affect relationships.

My previous work in school-based psychotherapy programs also provided me with extensive experience in understanding the difficulties students may face and the methods available to address them both individually in collaboration with faculty. My role as a parent of three (excluding my two cats) shapes my worldview, and I understand firsthand the complexity of balancing family dynamics. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and working out.

LMFT #141543

I am a board-certified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy with an eagerness and zeal for supporting individuals on their journey toward growth and healing. I specialize in working with teens and those that identify as a part of the LGBTQ+ community. I have a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University and am licensed to practice therapy in California both in person and via telehealth.

I practice therapy primarily from a client-centered perspective, meaning that I aim to meet you where you are at, collaborate to identify relevant and meaningful goals for our work together, and pour authenticity and genuineness into our relationship. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is where much of the healing work takes place. Additionally, I interweave cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and the gender affirmative clinical model into my work. I like to describe my therapeutic style as eclectic; I pull from a variety of theories, models, and practices to tailor a unique and personalized therapy experience that is best for you, and if something doesn't feel right, we can work together to find what does. I also enjoy integrating mindfulness into my therapy, with everything from meditations to practicing grounding, awareness, and presence.

I have a passion and specialty in working with and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, specifically trans, non-binary, and gender expansive youth in navigating coming out, their transition process, exploring the inherent shifts in their relationships, and processing the backlash, discrimination, and hate that is lamentably a component of this experience for so many people. I have also supported many of my clients in receiving medically affirming procedures, such as hormones or surgeries, by advocating with their providers and writing letters of support.

I believe an important aspect of who I am is my identity, part of which includes being a straight, white, cisgender male. These are dominant group memberships which have played a challenging historical role in our society, and I believe strongly that bringing this into the therapy room is crucial to acknowledge. In doing so, this helps me approach my therapy in a culturally humble way, as well as creates opportunities for corrective emotional and relational experiences by having different and distinct interactions that are restorative and healing.

LMFT #155014

I am a board-certified, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in supporting teens and young adults as they navigate anxiety, relationships, identity development, and major life transitions. With a Master’s in Counseling Psychology (Health Emphasis) from Santa Clara University, I take a client-centered and strengths-based approach, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where young people can show up as their full selves.

My style is warm, collaborative, and flexible. I meet clients exactly where they are and help them make sense of their experiences while building on the strengths and resilience they already possess. My aim is to create a safe, empowering space where clients can explore who they are, work through challenges at their own pace, and gain confidence in their ability to navigate both the present and what lies ahead.

Authenticity is at the heart of my work, and I strive to create a space where teens feel understood, supported, and free to express who they are. I show up with warmth, openness, and genuine curiosity, which helps clients feel comfortable, at ease, and willing to share their world with me. Outside of therapy, I love playing volleyball, going on walks with my dog and husband, trying new crafts, going to any sports game, getting lost in stores like TJMaxx, Target, and Hobby Lobby, and watching true crime documentaries. These interests keep me balanced and bring a human, relatable touch to the way I connect with the young people I work with.
